QUICKSANDS OF RACIAL INJUSTICE

This work was inspired by words in the famous “I Have a Dream” speech by Martin Luther King Jr.: “Now is the time to lift our nation from the quicksands of racial injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood”. We were tasked in this project to only use pictures of textures from things like magazines, and photos we printed out in order to create a composition. Using this quote I wanted to personify the words and show us finally escaping the quicksands of injustice.
